|I grew up very active and never had a weight issue, until I hit my late teens/early twenties and the weight just started piling on. I tried a number of diets, programs, exercise, gym, running but nothing could get my weight under 90kg.|
Then about 5 years ago, I went through a personal situation that literally removed the ground from under my feet and I found myself in a downward spiral. My weight soared up the highest it had ever been and my mental state was at the lowest. I hated looking at myself in the mirror and my self confidence was rock bottom.
It was at this stage I came across an ad on social media for a Fitclub and a small voice inside said “why not go and try it” So I plucked up all my courage and headed down. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a community of supportive, positive people. It felt as if they wrapped their arms around me and started lifting me up. I began healing on the inside and when I made the decision to jump on my program, it was easy because I knew I had so much support. I embraced the community, listened to my coach and attended the trainings they offered and remained consistent with my program.
Over the last 2 years, I have lost 35kgs, dropped from a size 20/18 to a size 10, found my self confidence, love the person looking back in the mirror and feel the best I have ever felt. I hit my goal weight and am now am excited to be gaining some lean muscle.
I love that now I can help others within the community to feel and become their best.
